Trucks to take Center Stage May 4 at Knoll Gas Motorsports Park

POSTED: 2008-04-28 12:37:00  EMAIL TO A FRIEND  PRINT VIEW

Martin, MI- This Sunday, May 4th, Knoll Gas Motorsports Park will enter into a new endeavor it has yet to experience when West Michigan’s Largest Truck Show makes its debut at Martin for the first time.  Fans are expected to see hundreds of show trucks, monster trucks, a burn-out competition, drag racing and vendors.

This may be Martin’s first time to host this fantastic event, but this event is in its 8th year.  Successful promoters Tim and Kim Voshell from Nothin’ But Truck, NBT, in Hastings have much to be proud of since creating this event eight years ago.  Originally held at Charlton Park then looking for a larger location moved to the Barry County Fairgrounds.  Wanting to take this event to the next level and spend more time with their family they chose Knoll Gas Motorsports Park to make its home for this event.

This event is an excellent addition to an already diverse schedule for the track.  “We have 83 events scheduled for the 2008 season, not including private track rentals, an all truck show including monster trucks is a perfect fit,” said Jason Peterson Knoll Gas Motorsports Park General Manager.  Local favorite Joselyn Perrin driving her Lil’ Miss Dangerous monster truck from Coopersville and Devastator piloted by Mark Schrader will be crushing cars at 2:30.  Lil’ Miss Dangerous will also be giving fans a ride in her monster truck.

The truck burnout competition will begin at 12 noon.  Drag racing, open to any vehicle starts at 10 am.  The truck show trophy presentation will be at 4 pm and swap meet and vendors will be selling their wares all throughout the day.  A large inflatable monster truck will be available for children to bounce in with all proceeds benefitting Burn Survivors of Grand Rapids.

Gates open at 7:30 am for the show truck and vendors.  Spectator gate opens at 9 am.  Adult admission is $10, children ages 3-12 $5.  Show truck registration is $20 at the gate, only $15 if registered by May 1 at Nothin’ But Truck.  For a complete list of pricing and times please visit www.knollgasmotorsportspark.com or call the track office at 269.672.7800
