Maryland International Raceway to attend Pittsburgh Junior Dragster Team Finals

Maryland International Raceway owner/operator Royce Miller announce today that he will be sending three teams of competitors to the Junior Dragster Team Finals at Pittsburgh Raceway Park June 28-29, 2008.
“This is the first year we will be trying the new ‘team finals’ format and it’s been great to see the tracks and junior competitors getting excited about it,” states IHRA Junior Dragster Director, Sherrie Barbour. “We have invited all of the NHRA tracks to join in the competition and it will be interesting to see how many choose to participate. The juniors will still be part of the Team Finals held at the end of the season, we just wanted to give them a family fun and safe venue where they can show their competitiveness and team spirit.”
“Pittsburgh watch out!  MIR is gearing up to three teams of fired up, ready to kick butt and take names of Jr. Dragster pilots.  They are coming with team spirit and a mission to win the team competition,” warns Miller.
Frank Tedesco and his team of junior competitors are not taking the challenge lightly. “We hear this all the time, someone coming with the ‘take no prisoner theme’. We had a chance to prove our worth at the 2007 Summit Team finals when the Junior class got down to 5 cars remaining (because that's all we had on our team), all that was left standing were Juniors from Pittsburgh Raceway Park. Tell Mr. Royce Miller to pack their lunch bags and wear hard hats because they have a lot of work to do. And the best part, we get to do this twice so prepare for a battle and all the fun that goes with it. I would like to take this opportunity to announce that PRP will also be sending our juniors to MIR for their Junior Team Finals. They have their minds set to win two Ironman in one year!”
