IHRA, Pittsburgh Raceway Park and Idlewild Amusement Park and Soak Zone announce plans today to hold a Junior Dragster car show on June 27, 2008. This date is the Friday before the All Junior Dragsters Team Finals at Pittsburgh Raceway Park.  Idlewild has offered families participating in the car show a special entry fee of $17.50 per person. This is a savings of $9.45 and includes all the rides and attractions for the park. The park, located in Ligonier, PA, is 20 minutes from the track and is easily available from the PA Turnpike or Route 30.

“This is a great opportunity for the competitors to show their cars to kids and families not involved in the sport,” says IHRA Junior Dragster Director, Sherrie Barbour. “We are appreciative to Idlewild for accommodating us.” 

Kathy Sichula, Sales Director of Idlewild is thrilled with the prospect. “Idlewild is excited to have the IHRA Junior Competitors show off their race cars at the park. This will be a first for us and we believe the families attending the park will enjoy seeing them.”

The park will set aside a special grass area inside the park for the juniors to set up and provide a special parking area for the rigs.
