In an effort to accommodate the sportsman racers who were relying on the Toronto Nitro Jam national claim, the double Summit Pro Am weekend at Pittsburgh Raceway Park will now be increased to become a triple race weekend. 
 
The Pittsburgh Thunder Nationals will be added as the third race the weekend of July 10-13.  The Sunday event will feature national event points, national event payout and national event contingency for all IHRA sportsman racers.
 
As luck and scheduling would have it, Pittsburgh provided a location that was geographically correct and offered racers traveling the opportunity to not only race three events in one weekend, but also gives out of state racers the opportunity to more affordably travel to Grand Bend the following weekend for the Mopar Canadian Nationals.
 
The preliminary schedule for the triple race weekend will be gates opening on Thursday, time runs and the first Summit Pro-Am on Friday, the second Pro Am on Saturday and the Pittsburgh Thunder Nationals contested on Sunday.
