1st Annual Elite Motor Sports Inventory Reduction Auction to take place in Wynnewood, Oklahoma

Tulsa, Ok. (Aug. 23, 2008) – $10 million worth of racing parts, cars and accessories will be up for grabs Saturday, Oct. 4 at the Wynnewood, Ok., home of Elite Motor Sports, LLC when the Mendenhall Auction Company will conduct the 1st Annual Elite Motor Sports Inventory Reduction Sale.

Trailers, race cars, engines, tools…anything you could possibly need to stock or improve your racing operation will be up for auction. From full-size deluxe motor coaches to high-end pit vehicles and golf carts the Elite Motor Sports Auction will be a great opportunity to pick up quality racing components. And, as with any auction, you will be able to name your price.

IHRA Pro Stock driver Richard Freeman knows the “ins and outs” of the motor sports business. He is looking forward to the opportunities the auction will provide for many bargain hunters in the racing industry.

“We attended a Mendenhall auction last year and purchased a lot of nice equipment at fair prices,” Freeman said. “We thought this would be a great idea for motor sports. This is not a one-time thing, at Elite Motor Sports we want to give the racing community the opportunity, once a year, to buy our inventory at auction prices.”

A few of the items available will have reasonable minimum bids, but the majority of the inventory will be sold without minimums.

“We will obviously have reserves on some items, but many items will be sold without reserves,” Elite Motor Sports spokesman Michael Brotherton said. “We have purchased many complete race teams and a lot of the expensive little parts and support equipment do not sell very quickly. An auction is the perfect format to liquidate that inventory.”

Along with the wide array of small racing components, three Super Stock Hemi Barracudas will be up for grabs to the highest bidder.

“These three are among the nicest Super Stock Hemi Cudas every built, and one of them is believed to be the last BO29 car ever built,” Freeman said. “We also have some of the nicest race cars, engines, hospitality rigs and specialty display semi trucks available. Racers simply cannot miss this auction…they could get a deal of a lifetime.”

This auction will also have an added twist, the opportunity for racers to trade in their equipment.

“We will allow bidders to trade equipment in on their purchase which, I believe, is the first auction of this type ever in this industry,” Brotherton said. “This is an approach I think the racing community will appreciate. It will also give them the chance to see how well we treat our customers at Elite Motor Sports.”

On-site financing will also be available for bidders.
You will not have to make the trip to Oklahoma to take part in the 1st Annual Elite Motor Sports Inventory Reduction Auction. You will be able to follow the auction and bid live at www.proxibid.com.  Elite Motor Sports will also be accepting consignments for this auction. There will be a period for inspection of the merchandise Friday, Oct. 3 from 10am to 7pm. Elite will also provide a free Barbecue Feed for those in attendance. To RSVP for the Barbecue Feed call 1-888-664-2727.
