Tom Martino (the other one) signs Fidanza, Saucony Inc., & Rockett Brand Fuels

Sportsman standout Tom Martino of Youngstown, Ohio, would like to welcome his signing of associates for the 2006 race season.

Tom and his family will be representing The Fidanza Engineering Corporation (Perry, Ohio). Fidanza specializes in adjustable cam gears, SFI flywheels, flex plates, CV shafts, and clutch accessories for both import and domestic, street and high performance, vehicles. Tom states, “Our main goal is to bring Fidanza brand name recognition into mainstream drag racing. Also signing on as a major associate sponsor is Saucony Inc. (Peabody, MA). Finally signing on as an associate for 2006 is Rockett Brand Racing Fuels. Rockett is a California based company with many years of research, history, and fuel development within the racing community. To compete this season, Tom has purchased a championship proven swing arm dragster from the Mac Sherrill stable in Lorain, Ohio.

Martino’s new big-block chevy power plant for the dragster will be anchored by a set of Carl Foltz BMF heads, a Dale Cubic CFM carburetor, and Nitro Plate Dynatech headers by Mike Fuqua. All machine work and assembly will be provided by Gellner Engineering. Other “top automotive” associates involved with the engine include JE Pistons, Jessel Rockers, and Fel-Pro gaskets.

Transmissions are being supplied by Carl Rossler of Rossler Transmissions (Girard, Ohio) and convertors by TCI Automotive.

All vinyl and graphic design for the dragster and transporter will be handled by Eric Johnson of PierX.com Hubbard, Ohio.
