IHRA DRIVER LAGANA NOMINATED SPEED PERFORMANCE AWARD – BIGGEST UPSET VICTORY

NORWALK, Ohio (November 20, 2006) – IHRA Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels Pro Top Fuel competitor Bobby Lagana Jr., has been nominated for a SPEED Performance Award in the “Biggest Upset Victory” category. Lagana’s win over world champion Clay Millican at Grand Bend (Ontario) Motorplex this season, the first victory of his career, is the nominated clip available for viewing and voting on SPEED’s website.

Beginning the week of Nov. 20, SPEED will air nominees for the fan-vote categories, allowing SPEED viewers to vote for their favorites at SPEEDtv.com. The winners will be announced as part of a 90-minute special in February, culminating with the presentation of the Mario Andretti Trophy to the inaugural SPEED Performer of the Year.
