2003: First No. 1 qualifying effort at IHRA Motor City
Nationals; Ran IHRA career best 4.775 en route to first
IHRA final round at IHRA Northern Nationals. Competed
at five IHRA events, qualified for four races. Qualified
for first NHRA national event in Top Fuel in his second
start at his home track in Chicago in September. Ran NHRA
career-best 4.773 in a quarterfinal finish.
2002: Made NHRA Top Fuel debut in Chicago in September,
qualified at all three IHRA national events he attended
(Martin, Norwalk and Rockingham).
2001: Bought entire Top Fuel operation in June
2000: Drove an Alcohol Funny car for a short time
1992: Won two national events (1 IDBA, 1 Pro Star) racing
an injected turbo-charged Funny Bike, finished in the
Top 10 in both series. Raced in the class from 1985 until
1999
