IHRA Ironman Classic Presented by Drag Review Magazine Kicks Off It's Third Year

For the second year IHRA will offer the sportsman program to all IHRA member track s, the” Ironman Classic”, Presented by DRAG REVIEW MAGAZINE. Before this program became a part of the IHRA, a sportsman racer could only win an IHRA Ironman if they traveled to a divisional or national event.

Now weekly bracket racers have an opportunity to receive the most sought after prize in IHRA Drag Racing – the Ironman – without leaving their home track. Promoters who are participating in the Ironman Classic program will designate a specific race to be that track’s “ Ironman Classic” race. (1 event maximum per track).

As a part of the program, there will be a special IHRA Membership offer. This offer will be available only to those who compete in the “Ironman Classic” at their track and are dated for that date only. The special IHRA membership package will be a one-day offer for $29.99 along with a free competition license. This is quite a bargain, considering the normal price for this package is $55.00.

This membership package will include 23 issues of Drag Review, IHRA Rulebook, IHRA patch and the IHRA member insurance package. Should the new member be injured in a track-related incident at any IHRA sanctioned event (as a participant or spectator), the $100,000 of excessive medical coverage would be available. And if it is a serious injury that causes the loss of work time, the IHRA coverage will pay $200.00 a week for 26 weeks.
