“Flatout Fast Weekend in August!”
The drag racing was hot and heavy Sunday, August 6th and for many of the Flatout Gaskets equipped cars, extremely successful!
On the eMax/IHRA side, T.J. Zizzo and the Zizzo Racing/Skull Shine-TORCO Fuels Team captured their first national event “Ironman” with their Flatout Gaskets sealed Top Fuel Dragster. The Zizzo crew has worked extremely hard the last couple of seasons in their quest for a national event win. Congratulations to the whole team!
Adding to an already great season with its third win, The Jawbreaker Alcohol Funny Car, driven by Tom Carter continued to make inroads for his quest of the IHRA World Championship. With his Jeff Fowler/Dale Cannister built and tuned power plant, Carter has become a serious contender this season. Terry McMillen, in the Amalie Oil “Instigator”/Flatout equipped car, runnered-up against Carter at the same event.
On the NHRA side, Mick Snyder and the TORCO Fuels Team conquered the strong field of Division 3 competitors to take his third event victory this season. Snyder currently leads the NHRA Div. 3 points and is poised for another NHRA Top Ten National finish!
“All of these teams are great to work with and help us to develop and bring the best performing gaskets to the racing marketplace”, said Mark Adelizzi, President of Flatout Group. “We’re extremely proud of all these teams and without their valuable feedback, we’d be just another average gasket company. These teams personify superiority in racing and we intend to continue to do the same in engine sealing, added Adelizzi”
Flatout Gaskets and Flatout Fabrications feature products made for all forms of motorsports and general business.
Flatout Group has also recently released the 2006 Flatout Gaskets catalog that covers popular performance aftermarket engine applications. Rubber Coated Copper (RCC) and SaberSeal MLS head gaskets, intake, header gaskets along with specialized, low volume and custom applications are also available to enthusiasts, racers and engine builders.
Race Tech Race Cars Takes Delivery of First ‘68 Camaro Style Roadster Body!
New Super Class Crusher Roadsters Available This Summer
Burlington, NC: Race Tech Race Cars, the marquee name in sportsman chassis building, announced today that they have taken delivery of a new ’68 Camaro Roadster Body for the company’s new line of Super Class Crusher roadsters.
“This project has been a long time in the making,” said Race Tech’s General Manager Tim Ratican. “But looking at this body, I can honestly say it’s worth the wait. This thing is incredible!”
Why the ’68 body style? “The ’68 Camaro body style is one of the most popular in all of bracket racing, and muscle cars in general. The bodied roadster market got started with the Corvette bodies, which are cool--we still offer them today. But this is a new look, and personally I think they’re awesome! Judging from the initial response, I think our customers agree.”
Race Tech Race Cars offers the Super Class Crusher Roadster at various stages of completion, ranging from a bare chassis and body, to a complete turn-key Super Comp or Super Gas (Quick Rod or Super Rod) machine. The new one piece, hinged ’68 body is available, as is the more conventional multi-piece ’63 Corvette styled body. Ratican and owner Russ Farmer urge interested parties to contact Race Tech directly for more information.
“A lot of chassis builders are exploring the concept of using different body styles on the roadsters, but to date we’re the only company that’s actually taken the idea from the conception stage to the shop floor. We have these bodies here today,” emphasized Ratican. Race Tech has already taken orders for four Super Class Crusher ’68 Roadsters, and offers a delivery date of late summer on the next roadster order.
Race Tech Race Cars is recognized as an industry leader, having manufactured quality chassis’ for sportsman competition for nearly 20 years. In addition to the company’s new line of Super Class Crusher Roadsters, Race Tech is best known for their 4-link and Slip Joint Dragster Chassis‘. Race Tech also builds Top Sportsman style Door Cars in various body styles, Junior Dragsters, and specialty components, plus the company stocks a complete line of high performance products to fit all of your competition needs. With broadband's increasing penetration, we can now do a number of things unthinkable just two years ago.
